Certified Fibre Network Testing Engineer (CFNTE)

This award is associated with testing networks using test equipment correctly, aimed at level three or above. The problem these days is that field staff often lack understanding or have never been properly instructed on how to test with an OTDR, OLTS, or live fibre identifier. When issues arrive, they cannot be resolved. Usually, a senior engineer has to get involved; when we test, we must test to a standard, such as IEC specifications. However, sometimes, misconfiguration of testers is not aligned with testing standards, and problems begin. To achieve this status, you must pass the chosen vocational award and demonstrate your knowledge and expertise to perform tests and certify fibres correctly to industry standards and client specifications.
